Graveside funeral services will be held in the West Side District Cemetery Tuesday at 10 a.m. for Taft resident, Phylliss J. Hawkins, 50. The pastor of the Cuyama Assembly of God, will officiate at the services.
Mrs. Hawkins was born in Paris, Arkansas, Oct. 5, 1940, and died in a Bakersfield hospital Saturday afternoon. She moved to Taft when she was about 10 years old and attended Taft schools.
Her survivors include her husband, Bernard Hawkins, her children, her mother, brothers and sisters and their spouses, and five grandchildren.
Those who wish may call at the Erickson & Brown Funeral Home Monday until 8:30 p.m. to pay their respects.
