He quit school in third grade to start working wherever he could to help his Mom take care of his sisters. His Dad died in the flu epidemic in Kentucky. He grew up to be a strong,patient,loving man. He retired from Ford Motor company in the late 1960's. He and grandma moved back to Millwood, KY. Where he pastored several General Baptist Churches. Leitchfield Gen. Bapt. Rabbit Flat, and Shrewsbury that I can remember, in Grayson County Ky. He married Vena Newton and together raised 9 children. One died at birth. He was a faithful husband, father and Christian. We will see him again one day in Heaven.
