Ben Morgan, 6 year old son of William Henry Morgan and Mae (Wells) Morgan, of near Helena, AR, died at their home on Wednesday, Oct 13, 1937. He had been ill only one day with congestion. Besides his parents he is survived by one brother Charles, and four sisters, Juanita, Reba Rae, Annie Dell and Othaniel, all of the home; two grandmothers, Mrs. Mona Wells and Mrs. Minnie Snodgrass. PS: The Cemetery was distroyed when the Levee on the Mississippi River was relocated. What graves that could be found were relocated to another cemetery in area.

~*~My little brother Ben was sick for only one day. When an old doctor came and said he died of congestive chills, I am sure he had no idea what killed him. My Dad and some neighbor men made a box to bury him in, but because the 1937 flood water was still so high, they had to stand on the box to keep it from floating until some dirt could hold it down. The Mississippi River levee was later moved inland and the graves that could be found were moved. The rest was just washed away by the river~*~ Love and Kisses
