Mrs. Bertha Mae Hyde, 72, 404 W. Walnut, Bloomfield, died at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Davis County Hospital,
She was born April 22, 1904 at Creston to Roy and Barbara Haines Olinger. She had lived most of her life in Van Buren and Davis Counties, moving to Bloomfield four years ago. She had been a school teacher.
She was affiliated with the Bloomfield Church of the Open Bible and the Tri-R Club of Pulaski.
On June 27, 1924, she married Lee Hyde at Memphis, Missouri. He survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Ruth Ann Farley of Bloomfield, Mrs. Jane Hockersmith of Davenport, and Mrs. Mary Riney of Des Moines; one sister, Mrs. Nell Pierson of Waukegan, Illinois; one brother, James Olinger of Davenport; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Wagler Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Gordon Fisher. Burial will be in the Sunnyside Cemetery at Milton. The casket will be closed at the beginning of the service.
A memorial has been established payable to the Kidney Foundation.
