David Parks served in the Civil War in the Union Army in Company G., 48th Regt. Ky. Inft. as Pvt. He was a son of Lorenzo Dow Parks & Elizabeth "Betsy" Riley. He married Nancy Clementine Manus, 14 Oct 1869, Eddyville, KY. He was survived by his wife and 8 children.
