WANDA MAY INGLES was born May 16, 1916 in Geary, Oklahoma, the daughter of the late Widney Edward Evey and Alice E. (Mead) Evey. She was one of seven children. She and her family moved to Oregon, settling in the Amity community, where she completed her schooling, having been a graduate of the Amity High School Class of 1936.
Wanda was united in marriage to Lowell Ingles on December 22, 1941 in Portland, Oregon. Following their marriage they made their home in the Banks community. Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell, on October 12, 1989, after celebrating over forty-seven years of marriage together. She continued living in the Banks community, until June of 1990 when she moved to the Cornelius community.
Among her special interests she enjoyed listening to radio programs, visiting on the phone and playing her harmonica.
Wanda was also preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Ileen Ingles in 1955; her son, Wesley Ingles in 1999 and her five brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Erlinda "Linda" Ingles, of Cornelius, Oregon; her sister, Sedate Bretthauer, of Malo, Washington; and her brother and sister-in-law, Arden and Hazel Evey, of Winlock, Washington.
Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
The family suggests that remembrances may be contributions to the Memorial Fund, c/o Laurel Community Church, 30640 S.W. Laurel Road, Hillsboro, Oregon 97123, in her memory.
