Vivian was born August 3, 1942 to the late A.E. and Bessie Cagle Earnhardt. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Pauline Bouie.
Vivian is survived by her husband Kenneth C. Caldwell Sr. originally from Statesville and by two sons Kenneth Caldwell Jr. of Statesville and Gregory D. Caldwell of Charlotte. Mrs. Caldwell is also survived by two brothers, William R. (Bill) Earnhardt and his wife Ann of Mooresville, A.E. (Gene) Earnhardt Jr. and his wife Louise of Badin, N.C.; two sisters, Vergie Benner of High Point and Mable Drye of Alexandria, Va. and a number of nieces and nephews.
She is a graduate of Millingport High School, Stanly County and H.F. Long Hospital School of Nursing, Statesville, N.C.
The Caldwell family will be receiving family and friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight at Wilkinson Funeral Home at 100 Branchview Drive N.E. in Concord and at the home the remaining time. There will be a graveside service on Friday at 2 p.m. at Iredell Memorial Gardens between Statesville and Barium Springs on Hwy 21. The service will be officiated by Rev. Ed Hall.
Mrs. Caldwell's request that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to her favorite charities, The Women's Military Memorial Foundation Dept. 560 Washington, D.C. 20042-0560 or to Hospice of Cabarrus County, P.O. Box 1235, Concord, N.C. 28026-1235.
Wilkinson Funeral Home is handling the arrangements for the Caldwell family.
