Lona Huggins Denson, 82, of New Site, died Sunday, July 10, 1988, at the Baldwyn unit of the North Mississippi Medical Center after an extended illness.

Services were Tuesday, July 12, at 2 p.m. at Little Brown Baptist Church with Luther Gibson and Russell Clouse officiating. Burial was in Little Brown Cemetery. McMillan Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Denson was the widow of George B. Denson. She was a housewife and a member of Little Brown Free Will Baptist Church.

She is survived by two sons, Thomas E. Denson of Booneville and Prince Edward Denson of Gulfport; five daughters, Grace Johnson of Baldwyn, Jane Moore of New Site, Gloria Mae Wigginton of Booneville, Virginia Jones of Tishomingo and Rowena Clark of Gulfport; one brother, Looney Huggins of Tuscumbia, Ala.; two sisters, Gladys Johnson of Haleyville, Ala., and Addle Taylor of Decatur, Ala.; 19 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren
