Mrs. Lille Mae Kent Simpson, 78, died Monday, July 29, 2002 in Heritage Inn of Sandersville.
Services were held Thursday, August 1, 2002 in May and Smith Funeral Home. Burial was in Washington County Memorial Park. The Rev. Calvin Chatham officiated.
Pallbearers were Clay Kent, Mark Kent, David Dye, Eric Smith and David Everett.
Mrs. Simpson was a native of Glascock County, the daughter of the late Fred Black and Louise Bridges Black. She was a retired seamstress with Royal Manufacturing Company and the William Carter Company. She was a homemaker and member of the Bethlehem and Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Bobby C. Kent of Sparta, James R. Kent of Harrison, William Kent of Tennille; three daughters, Ruth K. Smith of Jackson, S.C., Ann K. Dye of Forsyth and Gail K. Everett of Riddleville; three brothers, Willie Black of Harrison, Robert Black and Frank Mathis both of Gibson; three sisters, Martha Williford of Lakeland, Shirley Osborne of Sandersville and Lizzie Pool of Oconee; 19 grandchildren, and 26 great-grandchildren.
The family suggests donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association, 1899 Central Avenue, Augusta, Georgia 30904.
May and Smith Funeral Directors of Sandersville were in charge of the arrangements.
