Walter was born about 1854 to Amos (b.ca. 1829) and Catharine (b.ca 1830) PAPWORTH from England. He grew up in Onondaga Co. NY, with siblings William, Ada, Lizzie, Charles, David, and others.
Walter was a 26 year old single man working as a butcher in North Platte in 1880, taking up the occupation of his father, and died about age 33 in Sept 1887, buried Lot 200, space 1. I believe most of his family remained in Syracuse.
