HEARNE - Graveside services for Edward Howard Hanover Sr., 82, of Bryan are set for 10 a.m. Saturday at the Wheelock Cemetery in Wheelock.

The Rev. David Murphy of Calvary Baptist Church in Bryan will officiate.

Arrangements are under the direction of Heartfield Funeral Home in Hearne.

Mr. Hanover died Thursday in Sherwood Nursing Center.

He was born in McGregor, Texas, and was a lifelong resident of Brazos and Robertson counties. He developed the Hanover "Gooseneck" hitch and manufactured livestock trailers. After his retirement, he raised cattle in Robertson County. He served in the military during World War II and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by a son, Edward Howard Hanover Jr.

Survivors include his wife, Delle Marsh Hanover of Bryan; three daughters and sons-in-law, Nan and Glen Collier of Tulsa, Okla., Elaine and Mike Hensarling of Calvert and Betty and Bill Ramge of Houston; two sisters, Elizabeth Corder of Brady, Texas, and Eleanor Nance of Westfield Center, Ohio; two granddaughters; and a great-grandson.
