Mills County Tribune, Glenwood, IA, Jan 8, 1909: Isaac Ventis, an old pioneer of Mills county and a well known resident of Rawles township, died last Tuesday at the home of his daughter Mrs. Hal Evans. He was 75 years of age and death resulted from old age. The funeral was held on Thursday, conducted by Rev. J. R. Ramsey of Tabor. Burial was in the Waubonsie cemetery. The deceased is survived by seven children as follows: Mrs. Mary Jacobs, Cozad, Neb.; Andrew Ventis, Haigler, Neb.; Mrs. Candace Goodell, Hale, Mo.; Mrs. Carrie Evans, Tabor; Miss Clara Ventis, Haigler, Neb.; Mrs. Vira Hunt and Ed Ventis, Tabor.
