Adam Keith Morgan, 21, of Pineville, passed away Monday, April 5, 2010, of injuries sustained at Performance Coal's Upper Big Branch Mine at Montcoal.

Born May 10, 1988, at Beckley, he was the son of Steve and Tammy Church Morgan of Pineville.

Adam attended the Christian Fellowship Worship Center. He was a 2006 graduate of Wyoming East High School and attended West Virginia University. Adam enjoyed hunting, fishing, four-wheel riding, grilling and being outdoors. He also enjoyed coal mining, going to WVU ballgames and being with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Miles Church and Herbert Morgan; his grandmother, Mazie Church; and three uncles, Larry Church, Joey Lee Morgan and Tommy White.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Josh Morgan and his wife, Heather, of Pineville; his grandmother, Hattie Morgan of Indian Creek; two nephews, Michael Morgan and Austin Bailey, both of Pineville; his girlfriend, Kate Smallwood of Morgantown; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
