Charles A. Wells, 79, of Rt. 1, Walnut Ridge (Fender Community), passed away in Randolph Nursing Home, Wednesday, Nov 5, 1975. He served in WW 1. He was a son of John C. B. Wells and Mona (Lester) Wells. He married Effie Agnes Finley, 28 Jul 1917, Randolph Co, AR. He was preceded in death by a son Lloyd Wells, 1947. Survivors include his wife Agnes of the home, four sons, John Calvin Wells, of Rt. 1, Walnut Ridge, Billy Wells, of Rt. 3, Walnut Ridge, Harold Wells and Charles Albert Wells, both of Rockford, IL; 3 daughters, Mrs. Nina Wheat, of Rialto, CA., Mrs. Malissa Simington, of Pocahontas, and Mrs. Patsy Carlton, of Rockford, IL; 2 brothers, Matthew Wells of Kensett and John Wells of Pocahontas; 5 sisters, Mrs. Annie Payne, of Marmaduke, AR, Mrs. Esther Livingston, of Fresno, CA, Mrs. Inez Endicott of W. Palm Beach, FL., Mrs. Mae Morgan of Coulterville, IL, and Mrs. Grace Cardine of Searcy; 17 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
