Edward "Eddie" Lenoir died on Thursday, October 2, 1941 at the home of his parents in rural Belcourt, North Dakota at the age of 4 years, 1 month and 14 days.

Edward Lawrence Lenoir was born on Wednesday, August 18, 1937 at the hospital in Belcourt, North Dakota, the third child of Bernard Joseph "Barney" and Mary Emma "Mae" (DeLong) Lenoir. He was baptized in the Catholic Faith.

Eddie enjoyed playing in the pond with his brother, Wally and sisters, Dorie and Helen. The pond was down the hill from their home. One of his favorite things to eat was "Black Haws" that ripened in the fall. When he was too sick to go outside, his brother or sisters would go and pick the "Black Haws" for him.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, October 4, 1941 at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Belcourt, North Dakota with interment at the cemetery at the church.

Eddie is survived by his parents; one brother, Wallace Joseph Lenoir; two sisters, Doris Ann Lenoir and Helen Marie Lenoir; grandparents, Louis and Mary Emily Lenoir and Lee and Harriet DeLong, all of Belcourt; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
