Henry S. Faddis, age 78, of Alpena, Arkansas, passed away on Friday, October 22, 2010, at the VA Medical Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Henry was born February 4, 1932, in Compton, Arkansas, the son of George and Ova (Sims) Faddis. Along with his parents, Henry was preceded in death by two brothers. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Henry was a farmer and he enjoyed visiting with everyone.
Henry is survived by his three sons, George M. Faddis of Alpena, Arkansas, Mark Faddis of Green Forest, Arkansas, and Jason Faddis of Alpena, Arkansas; his two daughters, Sherrie Jenkins of Alpena, Arkansas and Fay Birky of Cabool, Missouri; his brother, Ray Faddis, of Alpena, Arkansas; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends throughout the community.
Visitation is 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, October 26, 2010, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.
Funeral service is 2:00 PM, Wednesday, October 27, 2010, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home, with Rev. Mike Widner officiating.
Pallbearers are Levi Ladd, Austin Faddis, John Henry Jenkins, Mike Allen Forney, Brent Wheatly and Casey Birky.
Honorary pallbearers are Jimmy Jones, Joe Luney, Brandon Gagon, F. M. Massengale, Charlie Maybee and Earl Ross.
Interment is in Auman Cemetery.
