Horace Gowen died suddenly Thursday afternoon at the home of his daughter,
Mrs. Orrin Dolley. He was age 84 years
and five months and nine days.
It is a coincidence that three years ago his wife died at precisely the same age to a day.
He lived at Waterboro where he was a farmer. Thirteen years ago he and his wife moved to Westbrook where they made their home with their daughter, Mrs. Orrin Dolley.
Horace was a man of strict integrity
and was widely known throughout York county. Although acknowledging no religious preference, he was a thorough Christian gentleman.
Interment in Pine Grove Cemetery.
