Rubye Lea Gieger Hamilton, 81, of Nederland died Saturday, August 21, 2004 at Mid-Jefferson Hospital in Nederland.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday August 23, 2004 at Landmark United Pentecostal Church in Port Neches with Pastor James Lee officiating. Interment and graveside services will follow at Big Sandy Cemetery in Dallardsville under the direction of Broussard's in Nederland.

Rubye Hamilton was a native of Livingston, and was a longtime resident of Nederland. She retired as a License Vocational Nurse with 20 years of service. Along with her husband, the Rev. Robert M. Hamilton together built and founded the United Pentecostal Churches in Port Acres, and Saratoga. Mrs. Hamilton was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Robert M. Hamilton, son Ronald Hamilton, and Marilyn Hamilton Shields. She is survived by one daughter, Carolyn Cook and husband Jim of Holly Springs, North Carolina; one son, Gerald Hamilton and wife Sue of Port Arthur; one daughter-in-law, Judy Hamilton of Longview; also seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
