Rose is the daughter of John Granville Love and Mary Ann (Bailey) Love. She was the first wife of Archie James. They were married Feb. 2, 1898. They had 8 children: Ida, John, Helen Gertrude, Mary, Hildred, Wilma, Chester, and Hazel. Rose died in 1931 and Archie married his second wife, Pansy Mae Bailey, in 1937. They went on to have three more children (Helen Louise, Denver, and Archie).
Rose was an active member of the Patriot M.E. Church (joining the Church in 1922). She later transfered her membership to an M.E. Church in Florence, IN.
Rose cared for both of their aging fathers in her home. She was ill for over a year before her death in 1931.
Rose had 3 brothers (Dan, Jesse, and Milton) and three sisters (Vannie and two others).
