Dale Rae Wagner, 81, of Lake Monticello, died Sunday, October 24, 2010 at University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville.

He was born May 31, 1929 in Bowling Green, OH, a son of the late Charles Foster and Nina (Conley) Wagner.

Mr. Wagner retired as an Electrical Engineer with AMF Bakery in Richmond after more than twenty years of service. He was a member of the Fork Union Masonic Lodge 127, Palmyra United Methodist Church, American Legion and the HAM Radio Club. He served in the United States Navy Patrol Squadron 861 / 18 and enjoyed woodworking and genealogy.

Survivors include wife, Suzette "Sue" (McEvers) Wagner; a daughter, Amy W. Hones and her husband William, of Waldorf, MD; a son, Steven D. Wagner, of Colorado Springs, CO; a sister, Clara M. Straight, of Bowling Green, OH; and two grandchildren, Daniel Hones and Joyce Hones.

A memorial service was conducted on Thursday, October 28, 2010 at Palmyra United Methodist Church by the Rev. Sandra Plasters.
