Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon (Wednesday) for Frank Everman, 70, of Allerton, who died suddenly at the Wayne County hospital where he had been a patient for only a few hours He suffered a stroke and never regained consciousness.
Frank came to Wayne County from Illinois as a child. During most of his adult life, until forced to retire he farmed here in the county. He served occasionally as marshall of Allerton. At one time he was a rural carrier on one of the Corydon rural routes.
Preceded in death by his wife on June 2, 1957, he is survived by six children: Mrs. John (Fern) Richardson of Corydon; Mrs. Herbert (Helen) Stills and Gerald Everman of Allerton; Jack Everman of the U.S. Air Force; Mrs. John (Mardelle) Blaine of Maquoketa, Iowa and Mrs. Judd (Wanda) McDowell of Rangely, Colorado, brothers and sisters are Ed Everman, Clint Everman, Harry Everman and Mrs. William Reedy.
Funeral services were held from the Randolph Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. yesterday (Wednesday) with burial in the Corydon Cemetery.
