Archie E. Walker of 77479 Dugan Lane, Cottage Grove, died November 25, 1981, at the age of 86. He was born March 14, 1895, in Allen County, Kansas. He had been a resident of Cottage Grove for the past 60 years. His life's work was in construction, carpentry and sawmill operation.
He was a member of Cottage Grove Masonic Lodge No. 51 AF & AM, Cottage Grove Chapter 41, Royal Arch Mason, Cerro Gordo Commandry No. 24, Knights Templar, Order of the White Shrine of Jerusalem.
He is survived by his wife, Theresa; three sons Eldon of The Dalles, Wendell of Portland, David of Olympia, Washington; a daughter, Theresa (Polly) Germain, of Silver City, New Mexico; a brother, Robert H. Walker, of Eckert, Colorado; seventeen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Saturday, November 28, at 1 p.m. at SMITH-LUND-MILLS FUNERAL CHAPEL, Reverend Sandra Sohn and Reverend Doug Still officiating. Ritualistic Services by Cottage Crove Masonic Lodge No. 51, AF & AM. Private interment at the Mohawk Cemetery.
Those who wish may make donations to the Eastern Star and Masonic Home, Forest Grove, Oregon, in memory of Mr. Walker.
