Mary Inez Sederlin of Springfield died May 5, 2002, of age-related causes. She was 80.

Mary was born August 20, 1921, in Laramie, WY, to William and Irene (Nottage) Coomes. She married Herbert Sederlin in Kimball, NE. He died March 17, 1991.

She graduated from Laramie High School in 1940. She was a gifted seamstress and her interests also included coin collecting, crocheting, but most of all she enjoyed her grandchildren. She was a member of the Springfield Coin Club, and the Springfield chapter of Take Off Pounds Sensibly. Mary lived in this area for 40 years.

Survivors include three sons, Carroll of Goos Bay, Franklin of Bend and Robert of Walterville; three daughters, Kathleen Davidson and Cecelia "Irene" McKee, both of Salem, and Mary Davina of Klamath Falls; a sister, Margaret LeRoy of Kansas City; 19 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

At her request, no services will be held. Major Family Funeral Home in Sprinfield is in charge of arrangements.

Her Mother Irene passed when she was just 11 years old and was raised by her Grandma Coomes .
