She was born to William T.and Laura E. (Stapp) Walker.

Her parents must of died. She is listed in 1910 census with Thomas Jefferson and Mary M. (Preston) Allen as adopted daughter Nettie Walker.

On Oct 12, 1913 she was joined in marriage to Robert Thomas Allen in Wright County. To this union 10 known children were born.

Services Held For Janetta Mae Allen

MTN. GROVE -- Services for Janetta May Mary "Nettie" Allen, 85, Mtn. Grove were at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Craig-Hurtt-Hutsell-Dedmon Chapel. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Mrs. Allen died Saturday evening in her daughter's home in Mansfield after a long illness.

A lifelong resident of Wright County, she moved to Mansfield to live with her daughter.

Survivors include five sons, Nels, Mtn. Grove, Emmett, Mansfield, Jess, Ava, Bob, Graff, and Gene, Mansfield; three daughters, Mrs. Verba Holt, Springfield, Mrs. Mary Allen Mansfield and Mrs. Alta Freeman, Mtn. Grove, 30 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
