Judy Marie Bess, age 62, of Asbury Park, passed away on Tuesday, September 28, 2010, at NY Presbyterian/Cornell Hospital, NY.
She was born on September 9, 1948 in Point Pleasant. She attended public schools in Neptune and graduated from Neptune High School in 1966. She received a Masters Degree from Lincoln University in 2001. She was employed by Epiphany House as a Counselor and Aide.
She was predeceased by her father, Hugh C. Holland, and brother, Gerald Weedon. Surviving are her children, William Holland of Asbury Park, and John Carter and his wife Contrillus of Hawaii; mother, Virginia Holland of Neptune; sisters, Paulette Crumpler of Georgia, Karen Anderson of Neptune, Debra Holland of New York; brothers, Gregory Holland of Neptune, Steve Holland of Florida, and Todd Holland of Ocean Township; 6 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and a host of devoted loving family members and friends.
A memorial gathering will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 7, with a service at 4 p.m. at Ely Funeral Home, 3316 Route 33, Neptune. Cremation was private.
