WATERFORD Gertrude Rose Lefebvre , 74, of Bluebird Ct., died suddenly Monday, July 9, 2007 at her residence.
Born and educated in Cohoes, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Jadwiga Smith-kowski Adamczyk. She was a graduate of Mildred Elley College in Troy. Gertrude is once again with her husband Raymond in heaven. They were childhood sweethearts, having met when she was 14 and married at 18, some 56 years ago. He passed away in 1994. Gertrude enjoyed sports and was an avid NY Mets fan. She was very interested in the judicial system and followed trials all over the country via the TV. She was a communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Waterford. She is survived by her children, Sandra L. Anderson and her husband Ernie of Waterford and Paul A. Lefebvre and his wife Kathy of Clifton Park. She was sister of Anna Barbagallo of Latham, Edward Adamczyk and Christina Amyot, both of Cohoes, the late Wanda Feather, Casimir Adamczyk and Phyllis Laranjo. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Derek, Tyler and Rachel Coleman, Nicole and Brittany Lefebvre ; as well as several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her much loved pet cat, Maggie. Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Waterford. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Waterford. At the request of the family, there will be no public viewing hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Stroke Association in care of the Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St., Waterford, NY 12188.
