Mrs. Catherine Anetta Bohrer Bodogh, age 102, of Avon Park, FL, formerly of Gaithersburg, MD.
Catherine was one of 10 children and is survived by her sister, Frances B. Miller. She graduated from Gaithersburg High School (MD), completed beautician school, and opened her own shop in Washington, DC in the early 1940s. She traveled throughout the US to be with her husband, a career US Navy man. Upon retirement, they moved to Geneva, FL and then to Flagler Beach, FL. Catherine had her own beauty shop in her home, played the organ for 2 churches, did oil painting, ceramics, upholstery and alterations. She was beloved by family, friends and neighbors, and was always ready to lend a helping hand. After the death of her husband, she moved to be near her sister, then transferred to The Oaks at Avon Park.
Her Godson, Deacon Steven Dove, of St. Bernadette Catholic Church, Port St. Lucie, FL, presided over the Rite of Committal, with her sister in attendance. Catherine will be interred with her husband, Gene, at Arlington National cemetery at a later date.
