Albyn C. Barr was born November 28, 1879 at Elliott, Iowa and died at the hospital in St. Paul, Nebr., on May 24th, 1965 at the age of 85 years, 5 months and 26 days.

In 1901 he came to Nebraska with his parents settling on a farm in Nance County, later moving to Howard County. In 1949 he moved to Wolbach where he lived until his death.

On September 29, 1907 he was united in marriage to Mary Sears at Cushing, Nebr. To this union seven sons were born: Leonard of Council Bluffs, Ia.; Ward of Hampton, New Jersey; Claude of Westminister, Calif.; Verdon of Omaha, Nebr.; and Jack of Fairbanks, Alaska.

His wife Mary and two sons, Clayton and Billie, his parents, and two brothers, George and Russell preceded him in death.

He leaves to mourn his departure his five sons: three sisters, Lizzie Terry of Bell, Calif.; Leila McNabb of Yarnell, Arizona and Clara Bower of Wolbach; and two brothers, Clarence Barr of Weyauwega, Wisconsin and Scott Barr of Wolbach; also eighteen grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
