Gamble, Norman Lee, 86, of New Martinsville, WV passed away Friday, October 29, 2010 at the New Martinsville Heath Care Center.

Norman was born April 15, 1924 in New Martinsville, WV the son of the late Harry E. and Gaynelle Garner Gamble.

He was a World War II Army Veteran of the European Campaign, life long member of the American Legion, the VFW and DAV and was a member of the Bridge Street Church of Christ.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Parker Gamble (2007); brother, Donald Gamble and an infant sister, Mary Ellen.

Surviving are two sons, Brent Gamble of New Martinsville and Bill (Linda) Gamble of Graysville, WV; daughter, Jane Ann Gamble of New Martinsville; six grandchildren, Heather Gamble, Erin Gamble, Alicia Gamble, Marah Elliott, Chelsea Elliott and Jake Bland; two great grandchildren, Charity Gamble and Laikyn Lashare; sister, Ruth Ann (Fred) Lemley of Warwood, WV; sister-in-law, Janet Gamble Slinkard of Dayton, OH; special friends, Pat Whiteman and Kim Berger and several nieces and nephews.

Friends received 3-9 Sunday, October 31, 2010 at Jarvis-Williams Funeral Homes, 1224 S. Bridge St., New Martinsville where funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Monday, November 1, 2010.

Interment in Northview Cemetery, New Martinsville, WV.

The Honor Guard from VFW and American Legions of Sistersville, Paden City and New Martinsville will conduct full military graveside rites.
