George Abel passed away at his home northwest of Hedrick on Monday morning. He had been in poor health for many months.
He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Abel and lived his entire life in this community. Surviving are his wife Lillian, his father John Abel and a brother John Abel Jr., all of Hedrick.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday at the Christian Union Chapel and burial will be in the Abel cemetery. The Rev. Clarence Hamilton of Oskaloosa will be in charge. The body is at the home.
