Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 30, 2010 from 4-8 PM at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud and one hour prior to the services on Wednesday at St. Peter's Catholic Church. Parish prayers will be at 6 P.M. on Tuesday at Daniel Funeral Home.
Florence was born on September 3, 1921 in Melrose, MN the daughter of Ernest and Katherine (Gaetz) Sjogren. When she was a young girl she moved with her family to St. Cloud. She graduated from Tech High School in St. Cloud in the class of 1939. She then went on to attend and graduate from St. Cloud State Teachers College. After teaching a short time in Tracy, MN she moved to Sauk Centre, MN where she taught for 36 years. She retired in 1979 and moved back to St. Cloud. This has been her home since that time. While in St. Cloud she cared for her mother until she passed away in 1991.
She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in St. Cloud, an Oblate of the Order of St. Benedict, Sojouner of the Order of St. Francis of Rochester, a member of Crosier Apostolate, and a member of Central Minnesota Wood Carvers Association.
She is survived by; her sister, Grace Fritz of St. Cloud, one sister-in-law, Laurie Sjogren of St. Cloud, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by; two brothers, Ralph and Gene.
