Sarah Evaline "Eva" Goates Beal was the daughter of David Madison Goates and Edith Ellen "Eady" Millsaps. She was married to Clarence Earl Beal on 21 December 1924 in Van Buren, Arkansas ( Marriage Index Book 13, Page 204 by A. B. O'Neal, Justice of the Peace ).

Sarah Evaline "Eva" Goates Beal, 99, of Elm Springs went home to be with Jesus, her Lord and Savior, Monday, Nov. 12, 2001. Born Oct. 27, 1902, in the VanBuren community, she was the daughter of David Madison Goates and Edie Ellen Milsaps Goates. She was married to Clarence Earl Beal for more than 50 years. Eva was a life resident of Northwest Arkansas, a homemaker and a member of the Elm Springs Assembly of God. She was preceded in death by her husband, C.E. Beal, a son, Virgil Beal, and two grandchildren. Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Coy and Faye Beal of Elm Springs, Doyle and Ellen Beal of Prairie Grove, and Lloyd and Carrie Beal of Prairie Grove; and Bonnie Beal of Stigler, Okla.; 16 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grand-children. She enjoyed quilting and shared many of her beautiful works with her family. Open visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. today at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs. Funeral services will be at 1p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, 2001, at Elm Springs Assembly of God with the Rev. Glynn Trusty officiating and her grandson, Pastor Brian Beal, sharing words of faith and family memories. Burial will follow at Elm Springs Cemetery. Funeral services are under the direction of Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs.
