Helen was the oldest of two children born to Ernest Reid Holcomb Sr. and Madge (Holman) Holcomb. She married Thomas Carol Liverman and they were the parents of three children: Merlin Carol, Larry Wayne and Karen J.

SHREVEPORT, LA- Mrs. Helen H. Liverman, 89, passed away at her home on Friday, October 12, 2007, at 8:15 a.m., surrounded by her family and loved ones. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 14, with funeral services to be held at 12 noon on Monday, October 15, 2007, in the chapel of Rose-Neath Marshall Street Funeral Home. Interment will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Cemetery in Texarkana, TX. Officiating will be Rev. Merlin Liverman, Rev. Richard Beeman, and Dr. Collin Wimberly.

Mrs. Liverman was born August 4, 1918 in Boswell, OK, and a resident of Shreveport for the last 16 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church Sunday School Class. Mrs. Liverman was a Musician, served as church organist/pianist for many years at Springhill Ave. Baptist Church, Mobile, AL, as well as served as the Music Instructor for Graystone Christian School. Through the years, she had her own Piano Studio as well as was a music instructor at her home. She was a "people person" and her core values were to always be committed to her faith, family, and friends.

Mrs. Liverman was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Madge Holcomb, of Texarkana, TX; and her beloved husband of 60 years, Dr. T.C. Liverman.

She is dearly loved and will be missed by her family and many friends. She is survived by three children, Rev. Merlin Liverman and wife, Lynda, Baton Rouge, Larry Liverman, Shreveport, Karen L. Janke and husband, Paul, of Salmon Arm, B.C. Canada; eight grandchildren, David Liverman, Baton Rouge, Debi Liverman, Baton Rouge, Donna Kay Sharpley, Bossier City, Kimberly Ubben and husband, Tim, Arlington, WA, Daniel Janke, Greensboro, S.C., Ruth Janke, Salmon Arm, B.C., Joel and Heidi Janke of Salmon Arm, B.C.; five great-grandchildren, Andrew Liverman of Baton Rouge, Amber and Courtney Sharpley of Bossier City and Jason and Aaron Ubben, Arlington, WA; one brother, Ernest Holcomb and wife, Liz, Dallas, TX; two nephews, Randy Holcomb and wife, Dana, and son, Cole, Birmingham, AL and Reid Holcomb and wife, Holly, Dallas, TX.

Pallbearers will be Michael Liverman, Danny Dison, Rev. Eddie Colvin, Reid Holcomb, Randy Holcomb and Bill Jones.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Robert C. Hernandez, Dr. John Haynes, Dr. Carl Goodman, David Liverman, Andrew Liverman, Paul Janke, Daniel Janke, Joel Janke, Tim Ubben and Christopher Sharpley.
