Survived by his wife Mary Eischperger Griner, married May 24, 1763. Sons, Timothy, John Jacob, Johnathan, Samuel, Griner and daughter Salome "Sarah" Griner.
John Martin was a Private in the Georgia Militia during the Revolutionary War. He was wounded in the leg at the Battle of Eutaw Springs, SC. Years later he applied for a pension but was rejected because he could not furnish proof of his service. Information found fgs-project.com.
