Death of J. D. Coffman
Jesse D. Coffman, a pioneer of this section, for he belongs to the colony days, died at his home in Denver Wednesday afternoon. He had reached to the good old age of 81 years and 6 months, respected by all who knew him. He left Longmont fifteen or sixteen years ago.
There was a large family of the Coffmans, originally seven brothers and four sisters. Rev. Coffman of Denver and Mrs. Helen Secor of Longmont are the only survivors.
The remains were brought to Longmont Friday morning and the Masons will have charge at the cemetery.
