Double headstone with Henri L.Henry C. Adair - Age 94, of Van Buren, Missouri, died Sunday, March 22, 1963, of a cerebral hemorrhage at the Doctors Hospital in Poplar Bluff. Mr. Adair was a former school teacher and county judge of Shannon County. He had been a resident of Carter County for five years. He was born July 13, 1869 in Shannon County, and was married in 1893 to Henrie Layton, who died in 1936. In 1961 he was married to Mrs. Della Lehman of Van Buren, who survives. Other survivors include one son, Wilbur Adair of Vinita, Oklahoma, and five daughters, Mrs. Vera McClintock of Van Buren, Mrs. Thela Bell of Hayti, Mrs. Oneita Heger of Los Angeles, Thelma Singler of St. Louis and Mrs. Dixie Palmer of Wichita, Kansas, 13 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren, two brothers, J.S. Adair of Walters, Oklahoma, and J.W. Adair of Oklahoma City. Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church in Van Buren, Tuesday, March 24, with Rev. Earl Kearbey officiating. Burial was in the Winona Cemetery with graveside rites by the Odd Fellows Lodge. - McSpadden Funeral Service.
