LIFELONG RESIDENT OF CALLAWAY DIES: Mrs. Ben Bolen, 76, succumbs at home of daughter at 11:00 p.m. Sunday.
Mrs. Ben Bolen, 76 years old, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Linnie Newingham, north of the Old Auxvasse Presbyterian Church, northeast of Fulton, at 11:00 o'clock Sunday afternoon. Funeral services were conducted at the New Hope Baptist Church south of Calwood, at 11:00 o;clock Monday morning. the Rev. M.M. Hatcher officiating. Burial was in the cemetery there. Mrs. Bolen was a member of the General Baptist Church. Mrs. Bolen, whose maiden name was Frances Catherine Terrance, was born in the Fairview community May 30, 1864, and had lived in that section of the county all her life. She had been married several times. She was a daughter of the late Ben Terrance, who was carrier on the star mail route from Fulton to Calwood for many years. Her last husband, Mr. Bolen, died last year. Besides the daughter at whose home she died, she is survived by one son and two other daughters. They are: Mrs. Myrtle McCully of Bachelor, Ben Smith of Calwood and Mrs. Lila Berry Rhoades of Hannibal. She also leaves 22 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. from obit in Fulton paper;
