Her parents were John "Culbert" Culbertson and Comfort Osborne. She married Joseph D. Back, son of Alfred Back and Isabel Caudill. Her husband Joseph served in the Civil War and was captured by Union forces in Jan of 1864 and put into the POW Camp at Camp Chase, in Ohio. He died there on Dec. 21. 1864. It is said that Rebecca died a couple of months earlier...this is extremely odd, since she was so young. Did she take her own life...upset that her husband was a POW? Does anyone know what happened to her?
