Services were held at 10 a.m. at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Belcourt with Rev. Tom Roznowski, Rev. Bede Roman and Rev. Peter Schwartz officiating. Bural was in St. Ann's Cemetery.
The pallbearers were Lonnie Azure, Dominic Houle, Glenn Allery, Jason Allery, Matthew Peltier and Patrick LaFromboise. The homorary pallbearers were his friends and nephews.
Music was by Jeanne Azure, Fred Allery, Francis Malaterre and the Benedictine Sisters. Sister Mary Anthony Rodgers was the organist.
Albert Allery was born April 6, 1912 to Phillip and Elizabeth (Patenaude) Allery at Belcourt. He was raised in Belcourt and farmed 3 1/2 miles west of Belcourt where he also raised horses. He lived here his entire life, He retired four years ago due to ill health. He loved to ride horses. He never married.
Survivors are five sisters, Louise Peltier of Dunseith, Anna Houle and Dorothy Allick, both of Belcourt, Margaret McGee of Rolla, and Jenny Azure of Bismarck; a brother, Fred L. Allery of Belcourt; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and four sisters.
A rosary service was held Wednesday at 8 p.m. at Niewoehner Funeral Chapel in Belcourt.
