Services for Sam L. Williams, 99, of Lufkin, were held October 7, 1987 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.
Mr. Williams was a member of Homer Methodist Church and was a member of the Lufkin Odd Fellow Lodge. He was a retired lineman from Lufkin Telephone Exchange and a farmer. He was a lifelong resident of Lufkin.
Survivors: daughters, Mildred Durham, Flauria Winters and Mary Jane Williams; son Carl Williams; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
