---Janie May Fast, of Route 2, LaPlata died late Monday afternoon (September 20, 1982) at her home. She had been in failing health. However, death was unexpected and attributed to natural causes.
---Born February 17, 1918 near LaCrosse in Macon County she was the daughter of Jesse Bradford and Anna May Emerson Gunnels. On February 14, 1945 in La Plata, she was married to Riley Edwin Fast, who preceded her in death on March 8, 1982. Also preceding her in death were two sisters, Mary Marieda Gunnels and Betty Delores Gunnels.
---Surviving are two sons, Larry Fast of Nenana, Alaska and Tony Fast of LaPlata; one brother Lilbern Gunnels of Route 4, La Plata and one sister, Mrs. Robert (Lela) Bragg of Route 4, La Plata.
---Mrs. Fast was a life-long resident of the LaPlata area.
---Funeral services will be announced later by the Pollock Funeral Home in La Plata.
