It is with profound sadness that the daughters of Thomas J. Taylor III announce the passing of their father on October 25, 2010 at the age of 84. Papa has joined his beloved wife, Christine, of sixty-two years. His laughter will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He was born December 28, 1925 in Marshall, Texas to the late Tommy Taylor and Mary Wright Taylor of Jefferson, Texas. He grew up in San Antonio, attending Peacock Academy from 1935 to 1937, graduating from Texas Military Institute in 1941 and attending St, Mary's University in 1944. T.J. served in the Army Air Corp from 1944-1946.

In May of 1946, he married Christine Bagby. After the war they moved to Jefferson and had two daughters, Sally Taylor Loner and Nancy Taylor. He continued his military career in the Army Reserves, retiring as a Major. He attended The University of Texas in Austin graduating in 1960 with a BBA in Accounting and received his CPA certificate the same year.

T.J. worked for George, Thrift, and Cockrell in San Antonio from 1961-1965 and B.D. Holt Corporation in Corpus Christi from 1965-1993.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife Christine and his sister, Susan Taylor. He is survived by his daughters, Sally(Dennis) Loner and Nancy Taylor, four grandchildren, Jason (Kim) Loner, Taylor (Jhana) Spence, John Loner, and Charlotte (Bill) Bean, and great grandsons, Thomas Joseph Bean and Trenton Joseph Spence.

We would like to express our sincere appreciation to the staffs of Nurses Care Management, Buckner Villas, Park Valley Inn, St. David's Hospitals and Altenheim Hospice for their devotion and care given to our Papa and grandfather during his stay with them.
