"James AARON's mother was Martha ASSHWORTH, eldest child of Jeremiah and Mary "Polly" (Davis). [Martha M. ASHWORTH married John F. AARON 12 Oct 1845 Franklin co GA, too early to put her by name on a census with her parents} Martha is age 77 on the 1900 Floyd co GA census as a widow, living with her sister Mary NIX, age 60. Mary can be tracked back to the d1850 census, beginning with the 1880 Floyd co GA census, where she is age 40, heading the household with her widowed sister Virginia C. Cook, age 45, and a sister-in-law, Julia [other research has Julia marrying Amos Johnson ASHWORTH in Warren co KY], visiting from KY with her children. 1870 Floyd co, in a household headed by their widowed mother Mary ASHWORTH, age 70, we find Virginia C. COOK, age 35, and Mary, age 28. 1860 Floyd co GA has the family group consisting of "Polly" (Mary) age 52 (should be at least 60 here), son "Fester" (Jeremiah Festus) age 23, "Caroline" (Virginia Caroline) age 25, Mary (no name game here) age 20, and son "Johnson (Amos Johnson) age 16. Which leads us to 1850 Franklin co GA and the family of Jeremiah, 70, Mary 52, Russell D. 22, Sarah L. 18, Virginia 16, Jeremiah T. (should be F) 12, Mary M. 10, and Amos J. 7."
