Nancy Elizabeth Gallegos was born in Muskegon, Michigan on July 23, 1949. She was daughter to Ray and Betty Lyonnais and sister to Richard Lyonnais. She grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan. When Nancy was 20 years old she left Michigan and moved to Colorado. Not long after her move she met Tony Gallegos. The two fell madly in love and were married. Together they moved from place to place until Nancy became pregnant with her first child. They finally made a home in Mission Viejo. Soon after their dream house was built Kimberly Brook Gallegos was born. Only two years later they had Andrea Michelle Gallegos. Scott Anthony Gallegos was born just two years after that. Nancy spent her time at the pool or movie theater, doing jazzercise, and playing tennis and golf. Nancy was a very compassionate and loving individual and made many great friends. She had a way of bringing all of her family and friends together in celebration. She lived her life to the fullest every day and was not afraid to try new things. She taught her children to have integrity, morals and values and to be strong and loyal and to always have an open heart. Sadly she was diagnosed with cancer on June 14, 2010. Nancy was so strong and fought every day and even after 3 devastating surgeries Nancy never gave up hope. She passed away on October 12, 2010 at 11:30 P.M. She would want to be remembered for the remarkable person she was and wanted everyone to be strong and live each day to the fullest.
