Jacob F Earhart, 70, a long-time resident of the Wenatchee area, died while at the scene of a small grass fire near his home Friday morning.

Born in Manheim, Pa., Nov 30, 1888, he spent his early life in Pennsylvania. When 20 years of age he came to the Wenatchee Valley with his brother, Joe Earhart. April 16, 1914, he married Marian Yerxa here. He operated his own orchard on Sunnyslope for 20 years prior to moving to the coast fives years during World War II. He later returned to Wenatchee.

Mr. Earhart was a member of the Sunnyslope Church of the Brethren.

Surviving are his widow; one son, George Earhart, Wenatchee; a daughter, Mrs. Lloyd Carlson, Wenatchee; a sister, Mrs. Fannie Hosler, in Pennsylvania and four grandchildren. One daughter, Mary Earhart, preceded him in death.

Jones and Jones Wenatchee, is in charge of funeral arrangements.
