Obituary dated 9 June 1976 "Mrs. Mildred Jane Barnhart, 41, RD 1, Biglerville, died June 7, 1976, in Annie Warner Hospital, Gettysburg, where she was a patient for six weeks.
Mrs. Barnhart was born in McConnellsburg, daughter of the late Charles E. and Ola (Pine) Strait.
She was a member of Gettysburg Four Square Gospel Church.
She resided in Adams County for the last 20 years.
Her husband, Daniel W. Barnhart, died in 1968.
Surviving are four sons: Roger Strait of Cashtown; Ernie Strait and John Barnhart, both of Biglerville; and Daniel Barnhart of Cashtown; three grandchildren; brothers and sisters: Mrs. Maudeline Hess of Biglerville; David, Clarence, and Herman StraitT, all of McConnellsburg; Mrs. Margaret Mellott of Bedford; Mrs. Nellie Smith of New Oxford; Mrs. Hazel Hess of Carlisle; Mrs. Thelma Nelson of Newville; Mrs. Ada Lowe of Shermans Dale, and a number of nieces and nephews."
