1.The following was gathered by H. Andrerw Braun when he went tro Ireland in the summer of 1998. Michael Connery was baptized 20 Aug 1834 at Ardmore, co. Waterford, IRE with parents from Balinthea. Sponsors were; Thomas Hallinan and Alicia O'Donnell. Michael was a broom maker residing in the Eastern part of Whately, Ma. He died in a railroad accident near Deerfield in Franklin Co. He had gone to Greenfield on Wednesday (12Dec1883) to take care of some business. Missing the 4:30 train back to Whately, he began walking back home along the railroad tracks when he was hit by the express train from Montreal around 6:30 p.m. and was killed instantly. He had worked for Henry Belden.
