Forrest B Dixon, 95, of Jerome, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2010, in Jerome.

He was born March 17, 1915, in Manard, Idaho, to John Fredrick Dixon and Martha Laurrenia Wells Dixon. Forrest was raised on the Camas Prairie and graduated from Gooding High School. He attended Albion Normal College and Brigham Young University.

He served his country in the U.S. Navy as a "Sea Bee" in World War II.

On Nov. 7, 1945, he married LaDean Parry. They made their home in Jerome, where they raised five children. Forrest spent most of his working life farming. He also did other jobs over the years. He loved to work and provide for his family. After LaDean's passing in 1981, he married Maurine Adams in 1982. Together, they served an LDS mission to Guam. Maurine passed away in 1996.

Forrest is survived by his children, John Paul (Wendy) Dixon, Noel (Lorenzo) Morales, Forrest Parry (Teresa) Dixon, Martha (Bryan) Nahrwold and Wagner de Camargo. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and many extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; two wives; his daughter, Kitty Dixon; two sisters; and four brothers.
