Alda Pauline Holmes, 84, of Bethlehem Community near Reedsville, died Friday, Feb. 5, 1988, at her home.

Born Dec. 3, 1903, she was a daughter of the late John and Ethel Keefover Zeigler.

She was a member of the Bethlehem United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, the Pilgrim Prayer Band, and frequently attended the Pilgrim Baptist Chapel at Bird's Creek. She was actively involved in Valley Senior Citizens.

At the time of her death, she was survived by her husband of 66 years, Willis Eugene Holmes; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, Richard Eugene Holmes, and one daughter, Clara Madaline Ervin.

Burial was in the Bethlehem Cemetery with the Rev. Dayton Smith officiating.
