Services were held at 10 a.m. at St Ann's Catholic Church, Belcourt with Rev. Gerry McCarthy officiating. Burial was in St. Ann's Cemetery.
The pallbearers were Patrick Dean Azure, Timothy Beston, Marlin Beston, Steve Azure Jr., Michael Malaterre and Richard St Claire, Jr. The honorary pallbearers were friends and relatives.
Sister Mary Anthony Rodgers was the organist and Jeanne Azure sang.
Geraldine Houle was born July 20, 1953 to Robert and Mary L. (Azure) Houle at Belcourt. She was raised and educated in the Belcourt Area. She attended St. Ann's School through Grade 8. She received a GED in 1971 and attended nurses training in Williston for one year. She married Vernon DeCoteau in 1972. He died in 1974. She married Eugene Allery in 1987. She attended Turtle Mountain Community College from 1989 to 1991, working on a degree in social services. She was a nurse and homemaker.
Survivors are three daughters, Richanda DeCoteau, Reina Allery and ReeAnn Allery, all of Belcourt; four sons, Anthony Azure, Rodney DeCoteau, Daniel Decoteau and Nathaniel Allery, all of Belcourt; and her parents, Bob and Mary Houle of Belcourt.
Also surviving are two sisters, Joan Azure and Stephanie Houle, both of Belcourt; and a brother, Steve Houle of Fargo.
A rosary was held Monday at 8 p.m. at St Ann's Catholic Church
